Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) before using the Leben in Deutschland Online app (the “App”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your own non-commercial study purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the App.
2. In-App Purchases
The App offers a single optional purchase — Remove Ads — which is a one-time, non-recurring payment. It is not a subscription. Once purchased, the Remove Ads entitlement is permanently associated with your Apple ID and can be restored on any device signed in with the same Apple ID at no additional cost using the “Restore Purchase” option in the App.
All transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple’s standard End User Licence Agreement and refund policies apply. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not handle payment details or issue refunds directly.
Purchase management is handled on our side by RevenueCat, Inc. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy for information on what data they process.
3. No Affiliation with BAMF
The App is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF) or any German government authority. The question catalogue is sourced from the publicly available official BAMF test catalogue. Passing the in-app practice exam does not guarantee passing the official “Leben in Deutschland” / Einbürgerungstest.
4. Intellectual Property
The official BAMF test questions reproduced in the App are public administrative content. The App’s user interface, design, code, translations, and explanatory text are our intellectual property. Coats of arms for each Bundesland are sourced from Wikimedia Commons under their respective licences.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the question content is always up-to-date, error-free, or complete. BAMF may update the official catalogue at any time; we update the App as promptly as practicable but cannot guarantee instant synchronisation.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any outcome in the official citizenship test.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
